Child Protection Policy (CPP) – 2026-2028

Hub Nicosia launched its Child Protection Policy in 2026, reaffirming its commitment to keeping every child and young person who takes part in its activities safe, respected and heard.

The Child Protection Policy sets out how Hub Nicosia builds child safety into its organisational culture, recruitment, training, programmes and community work. It follows the four areas of the Keeping Children Safe Child Safeguarding Standards (Policy, People, Procedures and Accountability) and Cyprus’s national child protection framework.

Our CPP focuses on:

  • Zero tolerance of abuse and exploitation of children

  • Safe recruitment, including police vetting of everyone working with children

  • A clear Code of Conduct and regular safeguarding training

  • Safe activities, events and online spaces

  • Clear and confidential ways to report and respond to concerns

Through these efforts, Hub Nicosia aims to make every space it runs, physical and online, a place where children and young people can learn, create and take part safely.

The CPP is publicly endorsed by Hub Nicosia’s Board and Director and is supported by dedicated human and financial resources. A Designated Safeguarding Officer oversees implementation and reports regularly to the Board and the Gender Equality Committee.
